Let it Snow!
After a few chores and pancakes we set off for the common. It had seen a lot of sled action over the past two days and was looking a little brown in patches. Finn didn't care, he zoomed down the hill repeatedly, finding new and exciting runs each time he did.
Ruddy cheeked we made our way home in the half light to a casserole that had been bubbling away in the oven for a few hours. With baked potatoes it was perfect winter food. All talk at the dinner table was of whether there will be more snow and how much sledging we can fit into tomorrow. Snow makes life even more wonderful when you are 9.

Lovely post Karen. Coming home cold to stew and jacket potatoes sounds like heaven. I find the way kids are with snow, so liberated and joyful, makes me want to behave in the same way.
